So God made a dog.
“Somebody who, no matter what you didn’t do, or couldn’t take, or didn’t win, or couldn’t make,
will love you without judgment just the same. So God made a dog.”

Muppets Most Wanted Trailer – Leave Ricky Gervais a message
So yesterday I saw the trailer for Muppets Most Wanted, coming out in the spring of 2014. About a minute into it, Ricky Gervais’s character, Dominic, is sitting at a table surrounded by Muppets. Introducing himself he lays his business card on the table and immediately I see that there is a REAL phone number visible on the card.
213-293-5218. I have never been there, but I know 213 to be Los Angeles because I am one of those people who, for some reason, remembers a lot of area codes.
I immediately dial the number and there is recording of Ricky Gervais / Dominic Badguy, saying that he is always looking for new talent and asking you to leave a message. He directs you to the website BadguyManagement.com which redirects to BadguyTalent.com where you can fill out a form to register to win a trip to L.A. to see the premiere of Muppets Most Wanted. Under the pretext that you are applying for him to represent you as a talent manager.
I left a message on the voicemail saying I would love to be represented by Badguy Talent and I left my phone number.
Today I got a text from “Dominic Badguy” saying, “Thanks for your message! I’d love to hear more. Call back and sing me a real tune.” — So I did. I sang “Happy Birthday” kind of like Marilyn Monroe sang it to JFK all those years ago. And for the happy birthday name I used: Dominic Badguy. I will let you know if he takes me on as a client 🙂
